~The 11th Annual Intermountain Nursery Harvest
Arts Festival~
Was, once again, the butt-kicking event of the year.
I'm telling you, if you're anywhere near this part of the world when this event comes around, you've gotta stop in and say
'hi'. There's so much to see and do, everything is hand crafted, and we're not talking dough art or macaroni angel pins, either
~~ this is the real stuff, hon, art, ceramics, pottery, music, dancing, weaving, soap making and so much more.
~~Modesto Pagan Pride & Festival~~
Sept. 6, 2003
American Legion Hall
1021 S. Santa Cruz
Modesto, CA 95354
This was our very first 'pagan' themed show and it was so
much fun! There was a super awesome spiral dance with no fewer than 150 people involved ~ you could just feel the mojo stirring
around here. All the folks, attendees to crafters, were super friendly and open to the magic that literally filled the air.
Raven Grimassi, Willow Polsen and M. Macha NightMare, all pagan authors, made appearances and gave mini-workshops on
several different topics; there was a belly dancer (and I apologize for not remembering her name) who performed a beautiful
calling of the Goddess dance ~ absolutely mezmerizing. Crafters here sold beautifully sewn and decorated capes,
witch dolls, astrology mugs, handmade 'witchy' skincare and perfumes, bags and bags of white sage left the building,
incense, crystals, costumes, mehndi artistry, dancing, singing . . . well, if you weren't there, you really missed out.
Notice: This event is being scheduled for 2004, contact

Fresno Earth Day Festival (April 2003) . .
.
Kicked butt! More music, more people, more plantlife, more
organic, more hemp, more vegan & more love than you've ever experienced. This was the best year thus far at Fresno's
Earth Day Festival -- so says the hemp man -- and you gotta believe him 'cause he's a regular at this gig. If you live in
the area, watch for this event to come around next year and make sure to show up -- you will be glad you did

10th Annual Intermountain Nursery's annual Harvest Arts
Festival in October was the BOMB! I know, it's a dated saying, but it was, y'know, the BOMB! The congas, oh, man, if only
you'd been there . . . There was a full 15 minutes of songless, straight-up Reggae SOUND being produced by Waddama, a
local Reggae/Funk/Multi-Cultural band -- the music was trancelike & mesmerizing; a total feeling of togetherness
emanated across the mountainside. It literally pulled crafters and artists from their booths like a siren's song, leaving
them dancing with total strangers -- oh, and the smiles on everyone's faces -- it was MAGICAL. If you ever get the chance
to hit up this great craft show, please do it -- for your soul.
