for skin and hair; Floral Waxes ~~ usually rose, jasmine, orange, mimosa ~~ violet leaf, broom,
heliochrysm & orange blossom when available ~~ these waxes are a by-product of oil extraction and have a slightly different
scent than the original plant ~~ they still hold a lot of oomph when it comes to scenting soap, though, and are a less expensive
alternative to extremely expensive essential oils; Frankincense Resin is a heady, bitter resin that helps
'ground' other scents ~~ it also has wonderful skin healing abilities and has been used for centuries in applications for
'mature' skin; Honey is an extremely hydrating natural product and helps to soften and smooth skin; Juniper

& Witch's Soap blends and has no real skin healing properties that we're aware of; Orange Peel (organic)
for color and exfoliation ~~ also astringent and toning; Patchouli Powder because it smells so darned good;

to help re-grow hair ~~ also fights bacteria on the surface of the skin, which is why it is an ingredient in nearly all natural
deodorants; Thyme Leaf (organic) for texture & color; White Sage is infused into virgin
olive oil & organic safflower to create the base oil for our Sacred Sage soap ~~ used primarily to help condition and
scent the soap;
Yarrow Flower for color, texture and its skin

Essential Oils
We use only essential oils, absolutes, concretes,
floral waxes and other natural ingredients to scent our skincare products ~~ using natural over fragrance (synthetic
blend) oils is a conscious decision we made some time ago to ensure our customers receive a 'pure' product with all their
aroma therapeutic properties intact ~~ here's the list:
Amber essence, amyris; anise; balsam Peru; basil;
bay laurel; bergamot; black pepper; black cumin; citronella (sparingly as it's not a pretty scent); cassia (lovely cinnamon
scent); Atlas cedar wood; Himalayan cedar wood; chamomile (Roman & German); clary sage; clove; cinnamon leaf; cedar wood; cypress;
elemi; frankincense; galbanum; Chinese ginger; grapefruit (pink & white); jasmine (the real stuff); juniper;
labdanum; Bulgarian lavender (our favorite type of lavender); lemongrass; lemon; lime; red mandarin; myrrh; nutmeg; oakmoss;
orange; palmarosa (a type of geranium); patchouli dark; patchouli co2; peppermint; petitgrain; pine; ravensara; rosewood;
rosemary; rose geranium & Bourbon geranium; rose (more of the real stuff); white sage; sage; Turkish sage; sandalwood;
spearmint; tangerine; thyme; tea tree (also sparingly); vanilla infusion; vetiver; ylang-ylang ~~ and that's the
short list ~~ we love using essential oils that are new to us and we're definitely not afraid to experiment with different
and unusual scent combinations ~~
